Opening Ustream Studio
The SOFTBANK Group (hereinafter “the Group”) announces that it has opened “Ustream Studio Shiodome” on the 25th floor of the head office building (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) today. The studio uses live video distribution service on the Internet offered by Ustream, Inc. (hereinafter “Ustream”) to distribute on-the-spot live videos. The Group also plans to open “Ustream Studio Shibuya” at SoftBank Shibuya (location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on May 10, 2010 and to open “SHiDAX USTREAM Room (tentative name),” an experimental effort, at Shibuya SHiDAX Village Club (location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) operated by SHiDAX COMMUNITY CORPORATION on June 1, 2010.
“Ustream Studio Shiodome” is opened to serve as an information center about chat shows, presentation meetings, or events after being studied based on “tweets” on Twitter. This studio is equipped with a mini live show space, a talk space and a DJ booth that users can freely use. *1
“Ustream Studio Shibuya” to be opened in May 2010 will provide a space and distribution devices for free to broadcast chat shows, seminars and etc. Seminars about Ustream are also planned to be held on a regular basis. It is planned that “SHiDAX USTREAM Room (tentative name)” scheduled to open as an experiment will be equipped for Wi-Fi communications at its rental rooms where friends and families can enjoy Ustream easily.
The SOFTBANK Group will continue preparing for opening Ustream Studios across the nation so that more people can easily use Ustream at anytime to send out information across the world.
