Change to Benefit Program for Shareholders
SOFTBANK CORP. announces that it changes its benefit program for shareholders as described below. This change is made based on opinions and requests by shareholders and it aims to increase the number of shareholders who can enjoy the benefit program. The change will be applied commencing with the benefit program for shareholders for shareholders on record as of March 31, 2011.
1. Eligible for the benefit program for shareholders
Shareholders with more than 100 shares as of March 31 and September 30 every year.
2. Timing of implementation
This change will be applied commencing with the benefit program for shareholders for shareholders on record as of March 31, 2011. The coupon for benefit program for shareholders will be sent to eligible shareholders by mail in late June 2011. Please refer to the coupon for benefit program for shareholders for details of the program.
3. Description and major changes
The change eases required conditions of the conventional program such as subscription to optional services. This is to make the benefit program more attractive and easier-to-use for shareholders who already subscribe to the SOFTBANK Group's services, in order to facilitate their use of the program.
The preferential treatment for existing subscriptions under the “Benefit program of SOFTBANK MOBILE service to shareholders” is changed from 3 months of free monthly service charge of basic pack (Keitai Basic Pack/ iPhone Basic Pack/ SMARTPHONE Basic Pack) to free basic monthly charge of White Plan and the free-of-charge period is modified corresponding to the number of shares held. As for existing subscriptions under “Benefit program of Yahoo! BB service/ SoftBank broadband service to shareholders”, the requirement for the subscription to optional services is abolished and Yahoo! BB hikari with FLET'S and Yahoo! BB hikari FLET'S Course were newly added to the eligible service to the benefit.
