First Meeting of Privacy Management Advisory Board

Today, SOFTBANK BB Corp. held the first meeting of its Privacy Management Advisory Board, which was established on March 3, 2004 to prevent the recurrence of the recent case of attempted extortion involving stolen customer information and to further enhance the company’s customer information management system.
The Board consists of outside experts in risk management and privacy issues. They will be asked to assess the company’s information management from an objective standpoint and to provide recommendations that can be used in the development of policies and programs to strengthen its information management systems.
Today’s meeting commenced with a briefing the circumstances by SOFTBANK BB Corp. President & CEO Masayoshi Son. After an overview of the company’s customer information management and measures to improve it, a question-and-answer session was held.
