Changes to Benefit Program for Shareholders
SOFTBANK CORP. announces that its Board of Directors has approved changes to the benefit program for shareholders as described below at the Board of Directors' meeting held today.
1. Outline of changes to the benefit program for shareholders
In order to further enrich the benefit program for shareholders, mobile data communication terminals including “Pocket WiFi,” and “PhotoVision”, are added to the lineup of models to which “the benefit program of SOFTBANK MOBILE service to shareholders” is applicable for new subscribers.
2. Eligible for the benefit program for shareholders
Shareholders with more than 100 shares as of March 31 and September 30 every year.
3. Description
“The benefit program of SOFTBANK MOBILE service to shareholders” and “The benefit program of Yahoo! BB service/ SoftBank broadband service to shareholders” can be used in combination during the same period.
“The benefit program of SOFTBANK MOBILE service to shareholders”
- Provide gift certificates *1 of JPY10,000 to shareholders who purchase a SoftBank Handset, “Pocket WiFi” or others *2 and newly subscribe to SOFTBANK MOBILE service at the same time *3 .
- Free monthly charge for three months of Basic Option Package *4, *5 to SoftBank Handset *6 users who subscribed or plan to subscribe to Basic Option Package *7 during the period of the benefit program for shareholders.
- *1 Unable to combine with other campaigns during the same period.
- *2 The lineup in the scope includes SoftBank Handsets, “Pocket WiFi,” “PhotoVision” and data communication USB sticks as well.
- *3 Mandatory to purchase an eligible model or device at “New Super Bonus” price. One line only. Corporate customers, prepaid customers, subscription via Online Shop, and subscription of USIM alone are not eligible.
- *4 Good for one benefit per line only.
- *5 If the user of the benefit is within a free monthly charge period of the Basic Option Package, the benefit will be applied after the end of the current free monthly charge period.
- *6 “Pocket WiFi,” “PhotoVision” and data communication USB sticks are out of scope.
- *7 Basic Option Package is a service package which includes “Lost Mobile Phone Search,” “Secure Remote Lock,” “S! Addressbook Back-up (working as an anti-spam measure),” “Ichi Navi,” “Voice Mail Plus,” “Call Waiting,” and “Multi-party Calling.” Some services may not be available due to the subscription content or handset model.

Provide the following benefits to new subscribers of Yahoo! BB service/ SoftBank broadband service *8 .

- *10 Discount maximum monthly pay-for-use charge of JPY1,050 for 15 months on new subscription to “Yahoo! BB White Plan (a)” and “SoftBank Broadband Step Plan.” (“Pay-for-use charge” combines variable charges including basic charge per usage volume and provider charge of JPY490 to 1,990.)
- *11 Subscription to hikari BB unit rental is required to subscribe to “Yahoo! BB hikari with FLET'S” and “Yahoo! BB hikari FLET'S Course”.

100 shares to less than 1,000 shares: discount for one month semiannually
1,000 shares and over: discount for three months semiannually - *14 Available optional services vary depending on the subscribed line services.

- *16 “Yahoo! BB ADSL OTOKU Line type” does not provide “Yahoo! BB 50M Revo.”
- * The benefit program for shareholders “2” is not applicable to those customers who use line services other than the above services.
- * The benefit program for shareholders “2” is also applicable to new subscribers to “Wireless LAN Pack,” “Double Wireless Pack,” or “BBTV Basic Channel Pack.”
- * The benefit program for shareholders “1” and “2” cannot be combined.
4. Timing of implementation
The abovementioned changes will be applied commencing March 31, 2010 to shareholders of record as of the most recent shareholder record date (March 31, 2010.) The benefit program for shareholders coupon will be sent to the shareholders by mail in late June 2010.
