SoftBank Group Selected as 2022 CDP Supplier Engagement Leader
SoftBank Group Corp. (“SBG”) announced today that it has been selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader, the highest rating in the 2022 Supplier Engagement Rating (“SER”) by CDP, an international non-profit environmental organization.
The SER assesses how companies cooperate together with their suppliers to address climate change based on the following four perspectives: Governance, Targets, Scope 3 emissions and Supplier Engagement. In 2022, CDP included the top 8 percentile of the companies that responded to the CDP Climate Change Questionnaire in the Supplier Engagement Rating Leaderboard.
SBG and its Group companies (“the SoftBank Group”) are taking various actions to address climate change on a group-wide basis, including cooperative efforts with suppliers that were accredited this time, and investments in technologies concerning renewable energy. Going forward, the SoftBank Group will continue to promote its various ESG initiatives such as climate change mitigation measures, and fulfill its responsibility to help create a sustainable society as a company leading the “Information Revolution.”
