Changes to Benefit Program for Shareholders

SOFTBANK CORP. announced that its Board of Directors has approved changes to the benefit program for shareholders as described below at the meeting of Board of Directors held today.

1. Eligible for preferential treatment

Shareholders with more than 100 shares as of March 31 and September 30 every year.

2. Description

'Preferential treatment of SOFTBANK MOBILE service to shareholders'

Provide gift certificates ^*1 of 10,000 yen to new subscribers of SOFTBANK MOBILE ^*2
Three months free of monthly fee ^*3^*4 of Basic Option Package^*5 to SOFTBANK MOBILE customers who subscribed, or plan to subscribe to Basic Option Package during the period of preferential treatment.

*1Unable to combine with other campaigns during the same period.
*2Mandatory to subscribe to 'New Super Bonus', one line only. Corporate customers, prepaid customers, subscription via On-line shop, and subscription of USIM alone are not eligible.
*3 Good for one treatment per line only.
*4 Provide preferential treatment to users in the middle of free months of Basic Option Package after the end of the free months.
*5 Basic Option Package is a service package which includes 'Lost Mobile Phone Search', 'Secure Remote Lock', 'Spam mail filter & Address book back-up', 'Ichi Navi', 'Voice Mail Plus', 'Call Waiting', and 'Multi-party Calling'. (For 3G handsets. Some service may not be available due to the subscription content or handset model.)
* Unable to combine above (1) and (2) to the same line.

Provide option (a) or (b) to new subscribers of Yahoo! BB service^*6
1. (a) Cashback of 10,000 yen ^*7
2. (b) Free training (11,330 equivalents) on PC operation in Setup support visits 'Hajimete Broadband'
Cashback of 2,000 yen^*7 to new subscribers to BBTV (Basic Channel Package) in addition to Yahoo! BB service^*6

Discount the equivalent amount of monthly service fee (or provider fee) ^*7^*8 to existing customers to any of the line services below and any of the optional services.

* Preferential treatment (3) is not applicable to those customers who do not use the services above.
* Preferential treatment (3) is applicable to new subscribers to Wireless LAN Pack, Double Wireless Pack, or BBTV Basic Channel Pack.
* Preferential treatment (3) cannot be combined with (1) and (2).

3. Timing of implementation

Above changes will be applied to shareholders as of March 31, 2009, and the preferential treatment coupon will be sent to the shareholders by mail during the second half of June 2009.
