At present, the incorporation of AI into a range of business models is fundamentally redefining many industries. To ensure that we seize the great opportunities arising from the market expansion and the creation of new industries driven by AI utilization, we have adopted the "Cluster of No. 1 Strategy," a unique strategy for orchestrating the organization. In implementing this strategy, we engage in a wide range of investment activities, where the SoftBank Vision Funds 1 and 2 play leading roles. The goal of the “Cluster of No. 1 Strategy” is to form a diverse group of companies with outstanding technologies and business models in specific fields. Under this strategy, the companies are encouraged to form synergies to evolve and grow together based on capital ties and a shared vision while making decisions independently. As a strategic investment holding company, SoftBank Group Corp. will seek to provide guidance on the decision-making of companies in the cluster. SoftBank Group Corp., however, will largely not seek to acquire majority equity interests or integration of brands, as it attaches greater importance to preserving companies’ autonomy. By forming a group of such diverse companies, SoftBank Group Corp. aims for long-term growth through flexible transformation and expansion of business operations.
