Guided by its corporate philosophy of "Information Revolution — Happiness for everyone," the SoftBank Group aims to become a corporate group that provides the technologies and services that are key to building a happier and more fulfilling future for all, while striving to maximize its corporate value.
At present, the incorporation of AI into a range of business models is fundamentally redefining many industries. To ensure that we seize the great opportunities arising from the market expansion and the creation of new industries driven by AI utilization, we have adopted the "Cluster of No. 1 Strategy," a unique strategy for orchestrating the organization. In implementing this strategy, we engage in a wide range of investment activities, where the SoftBank Vision Funds 1 and 2 play leading roles. SoftBank Group Corp. is pursuing this corporate philosophy with the aspiration to create the future together with AI-driven entrepreneurs.

The goal of the “Cluster of No. 1 Strategy” is to form a diverse group of companies with outstanding technologies and business models in specific fields. Under this strategy, the companies are encouraged to form synergies to evolve and grow together based on capital ties and a shared vision while making decisions independently. As a strategic investment holding company, SoftBank Group Corp. will seek to provide guidance on the decision-making of companies in the cluster. SoftBank Group Corp., however, will largely not seek to acquire majority equity interests or integration of brands, as it attaches greater importance to preserving companies’ autonomy. By forming a group of such diverse companies, SoftBank Group Corp. aims for long-term growth through flexible transformation and expansion of business operations.

We continue to strengthen governance within the SoftBank Group by taking measures such as formulating the SoftBank Group Charter to share the fundamental concept and corporate philosophy and devising the SoftBank Group Company Management Regulations to set out the management policy and management framework for group companies, as well as establishing the SoftBank Group Code of Conduct to prescribe policies to be followed by the SoftBank Group, its Board Directors, and employees.

NAV stands for Net Asset Value and is calculated as "Equity value of holdings - Adjusted net interest-bearing debt" NAV is the most important performance indicator for SoftBank Group Corp., a strategic investment holding company. SoftBank Group Corp. aims to maximize NAV under the management structure that brings together its group companies as an investment portfolio.
