SOFTBANK ANNOUNCES REVISION OF NONCONSOLIDATED RESULTS FORECASTS FOR FISCAL 2001 FIRST HALF

Tokyo, Japan, November 20, 2000-SOFTBANK CORP. announced today it had revised its initial nonconsolidated results forecasts for the fiscal 2001 first half, ended September 30, 2000.

SOFTBANK has not revised its initial nonconsolidated results forecast for the fiscal 2001 full term, ending March 31, 2001.

2. Reasons for Revision

At the time it announced its initial nonconsolidated results forecasts for the fiscal 2001 first half, SOFTBANK intended to implement a strategic review of its securities portfolio. However, the Company subsequently decided that during the period priority should be given to maintaining its current portfolio.
