Changes to Benefit Program for Shareholders

SOFTBANK CORP. announced that its Board of Directors has approved changes to the benefit program for shareholders as described below at the meeting of Board of Directors held today.

1. Eligible for the benefit program for shareholders

Shareholders with more than 100 shares as of March 31 and September 30 every year.

2. Description

The benefit program of SOFTBANK MOBILE service to shareholders

  1. Provide gift certificates *1 of JPY10,000 to new subscribers of SOFTBANK MOBILE *2 .
  2. Free monthly charge for three months *3 *4 of Basic Option Package *5 to SOFTBANK MOBILE customers who subscribed, or plan to subscribe to Basic Option Package during the period of the benefit program for shareholders.
  • *1 Unable to combine with other campaigns during the same period.
  • *2 Mandatory to subscribe to ‘New Super Bonus’, one line only. Corporate customers, prepaid customers, subscription via Online Shop, and subscription of USIM alone are not eligible.
  • *3 Good for one benefit per line only.
  • *4 If the user of benefit is in middle of free monthly charge period of Basic Option Package, the benefit will be applied after the end of current free monthly charge period.
  • *5 Basic Option Package is a service package which includes ‘Lost Mobile Phone Search’, ‘Secure Remote Lock’, ‘Spam mail filter & Address book back-up’, ‘Ichi Navi’, ‘Voice Mail Plus’, ‘Call Waiting’, and ‘Multi-party Calling.’ (For 3G handsets. Some services may not be available due to the subscription content or handset model.)
  • * Unable to combine above (1) and (2) for the same line.

The benefit program of Yahoo! BB service/ SoftBank broadband service to shareholders

  1. Provide following benefits to new subscribers of Yahoo! BB service/ SoftBank broadband service *6.

    For new ADSL service subscribers
    Provide following option (a) or (b).

    (a) Cashback of JPY10,000 *7
    (b) Discount JPY 1,050 for 15 months *8

    For new FTTH service subscribers
    Cashback of JPY10,000 *7
    • *6 Available only to Yahoo! BB ADSL, SoftBank Broadband ADSL, Yahoo! BB White Plan (a), SoftBank Broadband Step Plan or Yahoo! BB hikari with FLET'S.
    • *7 Good for one benefit per line only.
    • *8 Discount maximum monthly pay-for-use charge of JPY 1,050 for 15 months on new subscription to Yahoo! BB White Plan (a), SoftBank Broadband Step Plan. (“Pay-for-use charge” is combined variable charges including basic charge per usage volume and provider charge of JPY 490 to 1,990.)
    • *9 Subscription to hikari BB unit rental is required to subscribe to Yahoo! BB hikari with FLET'S.
  2. Discount the equivalent amount of monthly service charge (or provider charge) *10 *11 to existing customers to any of the line services below and any of the optional services.

  • *13 ‘OTOKU Line type’ is only available with Yahoo! BB ADSL.
  • *14 ‘Yahoo! BB ADSL OTOKU Line type’ does not provide ‘Yahoo! BB 50M Revo.’
  • * The benefit program for shareholders 2 is not applicable to those customers who do not use the line services above.
  • * The benefit program for shareholders 2 is applicable to new subscribers to Wireless LAN Pack, Double Wireless Pack, or BBTV Basic Channel Pack.
  • * The benefit program for shareholders 2 cannot be combined with 1.

3. Timing of implementation

Above changes will be applied to shareholders as of September 30, 2009, and the benefit program for shareholders coupon will be sent to the shareholders by mail during the first half of December 2009.
