Acquisition-related Costs for Sprint Acquisition
As announced in the press release “Completion of Acquisition of Sprint” dated July 11, 2013, SoftBank Corp. (the “Company”) completed its investment of approximately USD 21.6 billion in Sprint Nextel Corporation (currently Sprint Communications, Inc.) on July 10, 2013. The Company announces the acquisition-related costs for the transaction as follows:
1. Acquisition-related costs
JPY 12.1 billion
2. Impact on the financial results of the Company
JPY 3.7 billion was recorded as selling, general and administrative expenses on its consolidated statement of income under IFRS for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2013, and JPY 8.4 billion is to be recorded in the six-month period ended September 30, of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2014.
